My Call to Congressman Gus Bilirakis' Palm Harbor Office

I just got off the phone with Patty in Congressman Bilirakis' office. I asked her if he had made a statement about George Bush's communtation of Scooter Libby's prison sentence. Her response was that he hadn't made a statement yet. She then asked me, "What organization are you with?" I replied that I was a member of many organizations but that I was calling as a resident of Congressional District 9. I told her that I would like a call back when he made a statement. She took my contact information and again asked, "So you are calling for yourself?"

I got the feeling that Patty was expecting the call. Please let us know what response you get when you call the congressman's office.

Diane talked with me and just asked for my address. I just got busted b/c I'm not a good liar (unlike Bush, Cheney, etc.) However, I did get in the comment that I wanted Gus to hold Bush accountable for letting Scootie off the hook.

I'm calling Kathy Castor now, on the advice of Diane the office assistant. However, I have a feeling she won't have a problem with holding Bush's feet to the fire.

Dear Congressman Bilirakis,
We are in trouble too. Tomorrow I will get a margin call and no one is going to bail us out.

Couldn't congress put a hold on foreclosures, margin calls etc until the $850 billion go to work to shore up the financial sector.

This free fall DOW, S&P etc has to stop. Congress can put a hold on trading to stop the panic.

Credit card interest rates have to be cut in half to stimulate the economy. Congress can do this.

Thank you,
