Hi Susan,
I guess you're glued to the tv, too.
The House site is being updated as we watch, and here's his page:

Thank you for this - we're all watching.

Thanks, Alison. Been wondering when we will get info on Gus's committee assignments. So far nothing. Here is a pledge from his website:
"In Congress, Gus plans to work in a bipartisan manner to make homeowner’s insurance more affordable, improve education, lower taxes, increase access to quality health care, protect veterans’ benefits, ensure the long-term viability of Social Security and Medicare, strengthen homeland security, and make government smaller and smarter."
Let's see if he means it.
After much whining about House ethics rules, the portion known as PAYGO passed with the support of Bilirakis, Young and Brown-Waite but not Putnam. Then the neo cons took their ball and went home.
P.S. A poised Kathy Castor addressed the body but that wasn't in this article because (gasp) no one described what she was wearing!

Too funny, Madeline! I saw this article earlier today but didn't have time to post. Should I give Gus some front-page credit?
